As a participant in the 2010 Black Belt Examination, the following students have reached a milestone in their personal quest for excellence via the medium of Martial Arts, they have all successfully passed their 1st Degree Black Belt and have made personal history!

You have demonstrated tenacity and perseverance to such a degree that the end result is your reward for your own indomitable spirit and perseverance.

The symbolic piece of black cloth does not represent the culmination of your journey. It is simply a stepping stone to enable you to continue to develop your physical skills and mental strength further. Black Belt is the beginning…
Remember when you first started your Martial Arts journey as a White Belt, and looked up at the Black Belt Degree Grades? You are now in the reverse position…
With your new belt comes responsibility. Your journey starts again today as a new “white” belt. The learning starts again, and you must appreciate that you now represent both Blackbelt Leaders and the United Kingdom Black Belt Schools. As such must BE the example both inside and outside of the Academy.
On Saturday October 23rd you gave the Masters Council a physical account and mental demonstration of your capability and character within the realm of your Martial Arts knowledge to date.
You should feel proud and honoured to have reached this point in your Martial Arts journey and now must reset your vision quest for your next goal beyond Black Belt.
The members of the Masters Council that have assessed you on your examination, applaud your achievement to date and wish you well on this very special and important moment.
I personally, as your Instructor wish to say thank you to you all. You have made me very proud.
